The renovation of the deteriorated Cananea House of Culture preserved its original form. The two original triangular volumes arranged in an L shape were retained and reinforced, and a third rectangular volume was inserted between them to accommodate circulation and ensure accessibility throughout the building. The design strategies focused on connecting the building to the public plaza through porticos and improving environmental comfort with a north-facing clerestory in the main hall, allowing indirect daylight in while promoting natural ventilation.
